What a great Catholic Schools week, we have had so much fun this week. Thank you to all the families who came out to say “HELLO” on Sunday for our open house. Our school is such a great place to learn and grow and we have a LOT of fun doing it:)
We had our Rock, Paper Scissors school tournament on Thursday. Each class had 1 winner that faced off with the other classes during a school assembly… the kids loved it!
We wrapped up learning all about the Arctic animals! We have learned so many fun facts and I hope your kids shared them all with you!
Questions for your children:
- Does the Walrus swallow his food whole?
- How does the Arctic Fox catch his food?
- Who won the the long standing tradition of the red and white game?
Religion: We will be focusing on LOVE and Friendship for Valentine’s day! God asks one thing of us and that is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. We do that by treating our friends with love, respect and kindness each day!
Literacy: Your children are doing amazing with Phonemic awareness each day! We have 2 sounds left in our Jolly Phonics sequence to learn the sounds and motions for “v” and “x”! Next we are onto Writing our Catholic Faith Handwriting book. This is a review of our letter sounds and formations!
Math: Graphing, ten frames, and and lots of number games at center and calendar each day!
Science: The Daily Meteorologist reporting is off to a great start! The kids love it!
Have a great weekend!
