JK Newsletter January 9th, 2026

Happy 2026! We hope you all enjoyed your holidays and your New Year is off to a great start!

It is so good to be back and see all your children! Wow, They have grown ! They had so much to share, it was so great to see them greeting their friends, and jumping back to the classroom fun!

We have started off our New Year Reviewing the classroom rules and getting back to our classroom routine.  The kids freshened up their pencil boxes, and are ready for the second half of the year!

We had a couple great days of getting back to routine, friends and fun centers!

Things to ask your children:

  • Whose name in JK was picked for the PBIS (positive behavior in schools) bucket pull?
  • Who was the line leader, flag holder, and prayer leader?

Religion:  We will be attending mass on Tuesday morning and learning about different saints.

Literacy:  We have been reviewing the Jolly Phonics this week.  Next week we will be learning the letters sounds and motions for the letters “b” and “j”.

Math: We have lots of snowman counting, winter games, patterns, and graphing activities during center time.

Science and Social Studies: We will be making predictions with the weather and lots of hands on winter fun!

GO BEARS!!
