JK Newsletter November 13, 2025

We had a full week of fun in JK! We have been blessed with some more beautiful weather.  As the cooler weather comes in, please make sure to have coats, hats and gloves for your kids. We will be outside for fresh air everyday.  If its too wet in the grass, we will go for a walk.  Fresh air and movement is so important to the healthy development of the young child, and it’s a lot of fun! The kids run around and play games, and enjoy time on the playground too! We also have the gym for the days when the weather does not cooperate.

A few questions for your children:

  • Can you tell me the letter sounds and motions for “g” and “o”?
  • How big was the Leaf Mrs. Hogan found and brought in?
  • Can you sing the R-E-D song?

Religion:  The Grateful Pumpkin Continues, and your kids have been taking turns filling in the blanks for what they are Grateful for.  This week we also did a watercolor project where the kids had to paint over a friends name and sign the back of it.  We gathered in a circle and one by one they showed off their artwork and said ” Thank you” to their friend for the art.  It was simple , but a way to show friendship and gratitude for special things friends do for you.

Literacy: We will be learning the letters and sounds for “U” and “L”.

Math:We will continue Turkey math games and counting fun on the Smart board at calendar.

Science: All things Thanksgiving.

Have a wonderful weekend!
