JK Newsletter November 7th, 2025

Another great week in JK, and lots of beautiful fall weather too!

Play is a huge part of development at the JK age.  We incorporate play into our day with centers, playground, free choice and recess!  The life skills of negotiating games and playing well with others are things we all want our children to understand.  They grow in confidence with this skill.  PeThis week we had 2 kids use the fire pole for the first time, they were so proud.

Make sure to tell the Grandparents and mark your calendars for the Christmas Program December 17th at 9:30 am

Religion: We will continue to talk about God’s blessing and what we are Grateful for.  The kids have been sharing with us each day! YOur kids have big hearts, you are all so very Blessed.

Literacy: Reading to your children is one of the besytindicators of future reading success.  We read books daily in the classroom and hope you do the same at home.  We are learning the /g/ next week in phonics.  So far they have learned the following letters and motions for:  s,a,t,i,p,n,c,k,e,h,r,and m.  They are so good at makings the motions and sounds for these letters, just ask them!

Math:  We have been plating dice games, patterns, and sorting this week with all our Turkey and Fall manipulatives!

Social Studies:  We have been discussing Pilgrims and Native Americans and how Thanksgiving came about.

Hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend!
