Fall has arrived and we are LOVING this weather!
Wow, hard to believe we are 6 weeks into the school year! We are seeing lots of friendships being made, and social emotional growth in your children. They are finding their own voices and using manners and treating friends with respect and kindness. We hope you are seeing this growth at home too!
Each day packs so much hands on learning fun that you don’t always get to see, (hence the pics:) Please know, your kids are all working so hard on name writing, cutting, gluing and many other fine motor activities each day. You should be so proud of the effort they are putting in. They are SO proud of their work!
Questions for your children::
- Which apple did you like best Green (tart) or Red (sweet)?
- Can you sing the song, “Way up high in the apple tree,”……
- What are the seeds called inside the apple? (pips)
- What is your favorite thing to play on the playground? Hopscotch, pebble box, slide down the firepole, or the slides?
Religion: We have 8am mass on Tuesday morning at 8am. We will also be learning about St. Theresa and St. Marguerite as well.
Literacy: This week in Jolly Phonics we will be learning the letter sound and motion for the letter “e”.
Math: We are making graphs, patterns and number formations each day in math centers and at calendar!
Science: Pumpkins and all things FALL!
I hope you are all able to take some time this weekend to get outside and enjoy the change of seasons. We have LOTS of amazing forest preserves and trails in the area to explore.
Graue Mill and Little Red Schoolhouse are close by and have great trails for your kids to run off some energy, and for everyone to enjoy the crisp fall air!
Have a wonderful weekend!
