JK Newsletter October 11th, 2024

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful fall weather week, we sure have!
It looks like next week will be on the chilly side so PLEASE make sure your child has a coat. We go outside for recess and the playground each day!

A few talking points from the week in JK:

  • Who are your new tablemates at your table?
  • Who was the prayer leader, flag holder, caboose, and line leader this week?
  • Which do you like better, Playdough or kinetic sand?

Religion: God is a very abstract concept for young children to grasp.  Seeing God in the little things each day is important to point out.  For example, rainy days are good for the animals and plants.   We thank God for those rainy days.  The same can be said for the beautiful sunrises or sunsets.

Literacy: Jolly phonics this week will be “K”.  We are having lots of fun with Halloween letter games.

Math: The children are doing great with patterns , graphing and tally marks each day at calendar. We are still practicing how to form our numbers.  We have number poems to help us out.

Science/ Social Studies: PUMPKINS! Life cycles, measurements and so much more hands on fun!

*This is our 6th week of school already! I can’t believe it! If you would like a phone call about your child’s progress in JK, please email me a good time and  phone number to reach you at!

Have a wonderful 3 day weekend, see you on Tuesday!
