Jk Newsletter October 17, 2025

Another great week in JK! We have been enjoying the fall weather, the fresh air does us all good!  Even on rainy days we are able to walk around our school grounds and enjoy all the fall changes! Please make sure your kids have coats as this weather starts getting a bit cooler!

A few talking points for your kids this week?

  • What book did Mrs. Flood the librarian read to you in the library?  (Clifford’s Halloween)
  • Who was the line leader, caboose, prayer leader and flag holder?
  • What is your favorite thing to do during free choice time?

Religion:  October is the month of our Blessed Mother and the Rosary. We made one decade rosaries and sent them home.  Feel free to say a decade at night with your family. Also, we have mass on Tuesday morning at 8am.

Literacy: Jolly phonics this week is the letters /H/ and /R/.  We are having tons of fun with Halloween letter games.

Science/ Social Studies: PUMPKINS!! We will be doing science and art activities with pumpkins and gourds.  We will be learning the life cycle and  doing different experiments with them. Feel free to bring one in for the classroom! We appreciate it!

If you would like to receive a phone call about your child’s progress in JK please email me a date and time that works best to reach you.  This is just a quick call to check in and let you know how things are going.  This is also a good time to ask any questions too!

Have a wonderful weekend!
