La Letra O

¡Hola familias!

We’ve had a fantastic week in Pre-K 4 DLI! Here’s a peek at what we’ve been learning and exploring:

🅾️ Letter of the Week: Oo
This week, we focused on the letter Oo. We learned how to recognize and write it, and we discovered some fun words that begin with “Oo.” The children especially enjoyed identifying objects and pictures that start with this letter!

📅 Calendar Time in Spanish
Our class has been working hard on calendar routines! We’ve started using Spanish vocabulary for:

Colores (colors)

Clima (weather)

Estaciones (seasons)

The kids are doing a great job picking up these new words and using them during circle time!

🙏 Faith & Prayer
We’ve been practicing the Our Father (“Padre Nuestro”) every day—once in the morning when we arrive and again in the afternoon as we prepare to go home. It’s a beautiful way to start and end our day together.

🎵 Heggerty Time – Phonemic Fun
We reviewed four songs from our Heggerty book this week. Our favorite by far is “La Lechuza”—ask your child to sing it for you at home!

🗣️ Almost Done with Vocales!
We’re just one vowel away from finishing all of our vocales (vowels).

✨ Next week, we’ll wrap up our vowel journey with the letter Uu – ¡la letra Uu!

📌 Reminders:

✍️ Please sign up for the Little Cardinals event if you haven’t already! It’s going to be a wonderful time for our class and families.

🥨 Keep sending in snacks and filled water bottles each day – we really appreciate it!

Thank you for your continued support and for being such an important part of your child’s learning journey!

Con cariño,
Ms. N y Mrs. Perez
