Here is what is going on in the classroom!

Math: We took our unit 2 test on estimation and perimeter.  We will begin unit 3 on Monday which will focus on multiplication and division by comparing data and information.

Reading:  We have begun to look at another informational text, Skeletons Inside and Out, taking a close look at the vocabulary words and using real world information to help explain.

Social Studies:  All about the Midwest!  We have begun to look at the states and their capitals that make up the Midwest!  Throughout this unit we will look at the geography, weather and landmarks that make up this territory.  We will also challenge ourselves to the first set of capitals by taking the first quiz mid October.  To help learn them check out this fun song we do in class! Midwest Song

Religion:  The class did a fantastic job with the Mass today!  I am so proud of all their hard work and being able to get up in front of a crowd that size.  We will have our unit 2 quiz on Wednesday and then start Unit 3 which will focus on how our decisions affect others.

ELA:  Our spelling words will focus on the long e sound.  We will also continue in writing using creative responses to given prompts.  Our next writing piece will focus on convincing someone to buy our house.  Not any house, but a haunted house.
