Hello DLI 4 Families,

Here is a look at what we learned and practiced this week in DLI 4!

Letter of the Week: La letra M
This week we focused on the letter M m. We learned the sound it makes and practiced blending it with las vocales (ma, me, mi, mo, mu). Students are doing a wonderful job recognizing the sound and practicing how it works in different words. We also read and learned about Mimi la musaraña, which helped us reinforce our letter of the week in a fun and engaging way.

Prayer Practice: Ave María
We continue practicing our longest prayer, Ave María. I am so proud of the significant improvement our students have made! Their confidence and memorization skills are growing each week.

Heggerty (Phonological Awareness)
In Heggerty, we practiced combining syllables to form words in Spanish. For example, students listen carefully to syllables said separately and then blend them together to figure out the word. Heggerty is one of my favorite parts of the day because it is completely auditory. Each student processes what they hear independently, and then we come together as a class to solve it. It’s amazing to see their listening and thinking skills develop!

Song of the Week: “A la víbora de la mar”
Our song this week was A la víbora de la mar. We not only learned the lyrics, but also practiced the traditional dance that goes along with it. It was so much fun, and the students absolutely loved participating!

Thank you for your continued support at home. We are so proud of all the learning happening in DLI 4!
