Hello DLI Families,
We had a very busy week! In addition to focusing on our names and developing our gross and fine motor skills, we had special visits from the University of Notre Dame and our superintendent. The students were excited and proud to showcase what they’ve learned so far! This week, our DLI students also met their buddies, and they had a wonderful time getting to know each other. They can’t wait to see them again!
Next week, we’ll begin focusing on colors in Spanish, starting with red. After our 3-day weekend, please have your child wear something red from Tuesday to Friday. By the end of the week, they should be able to recognize and identify the color red. Weather permitting, we’ll continue to enjoy walks and time on the playground.
We also have two Tree Machine donation boxes available. If you have any used clothes or shoes to donate, please drop them off in the boxes. If we fill them up, we’ll receive a tree in return.
A few reminders:
- Please continue to send labeled snacks, lunches, and filled water bottles.
- If you haven’t already, send in a family picture.
- Keep us updated on any aftercare changes.
- Nap items should be washed and returned on Tuesday.
- No school on Monday, September 2nd!
