Dear DLI 4 Families,
This week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week! We spent time reflecting on how amazing our school community is and how amazing each of us is as individuals. Thank you to everyone who donated canned soup for our food pantry — your generosity truly makes a difference.
We also had some fun celebrating Ruby, our classroom Rock-Paper-Scissors challenge winner! She made it all the way to the third round. Way to go, Ruby!
Letter of the Week
Our letter of the week was Ññ. We focused on the sound it makes and how it sounds when combined with the vowels. Our Zoo Phonics character was Ñato Ñandú.
Phonemic Awareness
We are continuing to use syllables to help students connect sounds and build words. As I have mentioned before, Ms. Nieves loves Heggerty because it really gets our students thinking! This week, instead of learning a new song, we spent time reviewing songs we have already practiced.
Religion
We are continuing to practice our Ave Maria (Hail Mary) prayer.
Thank you for your continued support at home and for being such an important part of our DLI 4 family.
