Semana Del Car Show

Hello DLI 4 Families,

I want to begin by sharing how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you and your amazing students. The cars for our Car Show were absolutely incredible! The creativity, effort, and love that went into each project truly showed. Even with the cold weather, you all made it happen and that dedication did not go unnoticed.

Because of their hard work and participation, all of our students are now proud recipients of their “Good Driving” diplomas! 🚗 We had so many wonderful comments throughout the school about this year’s Car Show. Each day and week leading up to the event, more and more amazing cars arrived, and the excitement kept growing. Our class represented beautifully!

Letter of the Week: La letra N
This week we focused on la letra N, its sound, and the sound it makes when combined with the vowels (na, ne, ni, no, nu). Students are becoming more confident recognizing and producing letter sounds in Spanish.

Zoo-phonics Animal of the Week:
Our Zoo-phonics friend this week is Norma la nutria! The students loved learning her name and connecting her to the letter N sound.

Heggerty & Song of the Week
Our Heggerty practice continues to strengthen students’ listening and phonological awareness skills.

The song of the week was “Juguemos en el bosque,” which is similar to a hide-and-seek style game. Although we were not able to go outside due to the cold weather, we made it work inside the classroom and still had so much fun participating together.

Thank you again for your continued support, creativity, and partnership. I am so proud of our DLI 4 community!
