Third Grade News and Up Coming Events May 31st to June 3rd

If you have any LIBRARY books they are also due back Wednesday June 1st.

Reading:  We have finished our final story in the reading series “Below Deck: A Titanic Story” about a young girls journey from Ireland to America aboard the Titanic.  The students will continue Science Fiction book reports presentation.  Everyone is doing an amazing job.  

Math:  The class enjoyed learning their multiplication and division facts.  This week we will be doing some review and learn some games that can be played during the summer to help the children enhance their knowledge of these facts.

Tuesday May 31st:  We will be attending 8:00 Mass please be on time for school so that we can be in our seats at Church on time.  Please also join us if your schedule allows.  We will continue Science Fiction book reports today. Orders for hot dogs for field day lunch are due Wednesday June 1st.

Wednesday June 1st:  We will be watching a movie today.  Please send in a sweet treat for your child.  This is also a spirit wear dress down day.  The class will be doing some end of the year classroom cleaning today.   Orders for hot dogs for field day lunch are due today.  

Thursday June 2nd:  End of year Field Day celebration FIELD DAY ~ Our class has decided to wear BLUE as our team color.  Lunch consists of one hot dog, chips and a popsicle.  Please send in additional food for your child.  Also send in a large water (frozen) bottle children will be allowed to carry it with them for the day.  Be sure their names are on the bottle.  The weather is supposed to be GREAT so apply sunscreen before bringing your child to school.    

Friday June 3rd:  Last Day of School ~ Dismissal at 11:00 (Please beware that there will NOT be aftercare on this day.)  There is an end of the year Mass at

My name is Lisa Gearen. I started teaching at St. Cletus in 2003. I taught first grade for 14 years and now teach 3rd. I have a bachelors degree in Communication and a Masters in Elementary Education. I received both degrees from Concordia University.
