Welcome Fall! 9/23/24 – 9/27/24

Autumn is here!

This week, we took our DLI class on a nature walk, focusing on how the trees are changing. We explored the different colors and used watercolors to paint a leaf, using only marrón/café (brown), rojo (red), amarillo (yellow), and anaranjado (orange). In religion class, we began creating a picture of our families by identifying and naming our family members, and discussed how each family is unique.

The students are starting to pick up on words and forming sentences. I’d like to share two examples from two of our girls: Alice said, “Tengo mi chamarra” (I have my jacket), and when Olive was asked how we line up, she replied, “En la línea” (in the line).

Looking forward to next week!

Next week:

We’re beginning our final vowel this week, and we’ll also focus on the colors brown, black, and touch on white. We’ll be wrapping up our family activity, and as always, we’ll keep being amazing!

For Monday, you’ll find two worksheets in your child’s folder, both related to the color morado (purple). On the first page, your child will trace the word morado with a pencil and color the image purple. On the second page, they will trace the word again and color only the items that are purple.
