Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3/4 this week!
Looking back…
- We focused on learning about leaves!
- We learned about the sound oa and letter ie, as well as writing numbers 1-5.
- We learned that God gave us a nose to smell. We have also continued to practice the sign of the cross!
- We continued to verbally blend and segment 2 syllable words. (Blending rain-ing turns into raining. Segmenting raining turns into rain-ing.)

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
- What did you turn leaves into? (people and bugs)
- What sound does oa make? What sound does ie make? (oa says /long o/ and ie says /long i/)
- Why did God give us a nose? (to smell) What kind of things can you smell? (flowers, food, perfume, etc) Practice the sign of the cross at home.
- Practice writing numbers 1-5.
- Continue to practice spelling and tracing/writing your child’s first name.
Have a great weekend!
