Hello parents!
Happy Halloween! I hope today brings some fun for everyone.
The first graders are dressed and ready to have their party this morning. This afternoon, we will be doing trunk or treat with the parents. It’s so much fun to see how much they decorate the cars and make it a blast for the children.
These weeks have been so busy! This past week was Red Ribbon Week. We talked about being healthy and making good choices. We had a pajama day, and a board game day with our 4th grade buddies. We also are bringing a red canned item for the poor.
Tomorrow is All Saints Day. We will going to Mass as a school, and we made an All Saints Day booklet. On Saturday we remember our loved ones that have passed and celebrate “All Soul’s Day.”
In Reading, we are reading such great “Superkids” stories. The children take turns reading, and their fluency is improving.
We have also been doing book reports and the children enjoy presenting them to the class.
In Science, we are working with light and materials. The children enjoy predicting what will happen with the light.
In Math, we are working with related facts. We are learning how addition and subtraction facts use the same numbers.
Have a great day today, and remember “It’s a great day to be a cardinal-you bet!!”
