Catholic Schools Week was the best. We started our week with Family Mass and Open House. Thanks to all of our current Preschool families and to the new families for visiting. It was so nice to see everyone exploring our classroom and seeing all that we have done. Monday we wore our favorite jersey and Tuesday we collected soup for our food pantry. The teachers were treated to a delicious lunch from the FSA and two of our wonderful Moms stayed with the kids while we enjoyed lunch. Thank you Mrs. D’Angelo and Mrs. Woodruff. On Wednesday, we made valentine cards for our parishioners and on Thursday we were treated to cookies and milk. Friday we shared special time with our Buddies reading books, playing board games and building puzzles. In addition to all that, we created a letter “Nn” filled with numbers and started to count objects all the way through ten using our fish bowls! We welcomed our new month, February, and started a brand new number pattern on our calendar. All of us are looking forward to the new month and the celebration of Valentine’s Day. It will certainly be filled with lots of love, penguins and arctic animals! The very best part of our week was getting back to our playground. Thanks to the beautiful early February weather, our imaginations turned our playground into a pirate ship where we made pirate cake and searched for mermaids!
Reminders…
*Snack-Please be sure to send a healthy snack each day. Also, please make sure your child’s water bottle is filled when they arrive. We are happy to refill when they are empty.
*We hope to continue to be outside each day. Please have your child dressed for the weather-winter coats, hats and mittens. Thanks for helping us all stay warm while we get our fresh air and exercise!
