Half Day Preschool-March 17, 2023

Looking Back…
*This week was all about St. Patrick’s Day and the color green.  The leprechaun visited and left us gold coins.  We read lots of funny books about leprechauns, counted shamrocks in our ten frames, created lucky shamrocks and made leprechaun beards.
*Spring is almost here and to get ready we painted our hands with all the colors of the rainbow.  Our beautiful paintings will be added to our end-of-year Preschool memory books.   We are so excited for the new season to arrive.
*Letter review was our literacy focus of the week.  It was so exciting to sing all of our Jolly Phonics songs throughout the week.  We have almost all of them memorized!  Way to go, Preschool kiddos.  We built alphabet rainbows with all the colors of the rainbow during our center time.  Letter “Uu” …here we come.  Stay tuned for all of the silly stories we will read next week:)
*Being outside was definitely the highlight of our week.  We went on walks, drew letters with chalk, looked for ant friends and built pretend campfires.  Hopefully, warm Spring weather will continue and we will bring much more of our learning to the great outdoors!
*Thanking God for fish was our Religion lesson this week.  Our discussion was all about the types of fish we love.
We even created pretend fish bowls and added colorful fish to them.  Next week, we will thank God for water!
