Our week began with a visit from the Grinch! What a crazy grinchy way to start the school week. He left us ribbon, wrapping and bows. Even a few of his Grinchy feathers were left behind:) He shared a photo of himself while he created his mischief. Can you believe he was standing on the work table? Check him out in the pictures above. We were super excited for the chocolate kisses he left. We lit the second candle on our Advent wreaths and began to read the story of the birth of Baby Jesus. Our Christmas program is centered around his birth and we have been busy each and every day this week practicing our songs. All the Preschool kiddos are so excited to share this special event with you next week. Miss Sonia has been busy in ECLIP this week, and last, teaching us lots of Spanish Christmas Vocabulary. Check out all these words above! We are continuing to work on the letter “Jj” and review all the letters that we focused on since we began school in September. Lots of fun was had at our Math centers counting candy canes and Santa boots. Of course, we were all able to bring home a candy cane to enjoy. Counting is much more fun when you are able to eat the yummy treats that are counted! We ended our week with a visit from our Buddies. Playing puzzles, building towers and just enjoying each other’s company was just what we needed after a busy week. What a tree-mendous week we had:)
Reminders…
The Student Council is sponsoring a food drive for the St. Cletus Food Pantry. Each grade is being asked to bring a specific food item. The Preschool kids have been asked to bring cereal. Too busy to shop…monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. This is a great lesson for us to share with others in need. These items should be sent to school between December 18-22.
