Pre-K 3 Newsletter October 30

Happy Thursday Families!

Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!

Looking back…

*This week our classroom was filled with Halloween excitement!

*In our trick-or-treat dramatic play center, the children loved pretending to visit houses, collect candy, and dress up in costumes.

*We explored Halloween-themed books together, talking about pumpkins, costumes, and all things spooky-but-silly.

*At the art table, we used our play-doh pumpkin mats to create faces and decorate our own pumpkins, practicing fine motor skills and creativity.

*One of the highlights of the week was our haunted dollhouse, where imagination ran wild as children added ghosts, spiders, and bats to transform it into something spooky!

It was a wonderful week full of imagination, storytelling, and Halloween fun! 👻🕷️🍬

MARK YOUR CALENDAR…

Looking Ahead…
Next week we are learning about voting! The students will vote between goldfish/applesauce on Tuesday (election day). Then, on Wednesday, we will have whichever choice won for snack! If you would like to buy the snack for our class, please reach out to me :).
As we get into the cooler weather…. make sure to send your child with appropriate clothing to go outside! We are outside almost every day, even in the Winter!
Please practice with your child on how to put on jackets and clothing independently. Independence is a HUGE part of preschool!
.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
* What did you pretend to be in the trick-or-treat dramatic play area?
*What sound does a G make?
*How do you say “Ghost” in Spanish? (fantasma)
*What did you do with your buddy this week? (make a silly pumpkin person!)
Have an amazing weekend,
Mrs. Arlowe
