Pre-K 3 Newsletter April 17

🌱Happy Friday Families🌱!

This week, we learned all about plants and explored our letter of the week: X!

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

  • 🥕 Practiced letter recognition with a magnetic letter vegetable match activity
  • 🌸 Used our imagination in the flower shop dramatic play center, creating bouquets for friends
  • 🌼 Strengthened our fine motor skills using flower petal toys
  • 🔢 Practiced number recognition by “planting flowers” in playdoh to match numbers on cards
  • ✏️ Learned about our letter of the week: X by making a fun x-ray craft
  • 🌱 Planted grass seeds for our grass heads—we’ll be watering them daily and watching them grow so we can style their “hair”!

We loved getting our hands busy and learning how plants grow!

Have a wonderful weekend! 🌷

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
  • How they “planted” flowers in playdoh 🌼
  • What do plants need to survive? (Sun, water, air & soil)
  • What will happen to our grass heads as they grow 🌱
